Andreas (Andy) von Bechtolsheim is a German born, Silicon Valley based entrepreneur, technologist and investor. He is a legend in his own right belonging to the great stars of the Digital Age. His instincts for trends and unmet market demands are outstanding. His first company Sun Microsystems introduced the first commercially viable graphic user interface. It came to be one of the fastest growing companies of all times Bechtolsheim invested in Google before the corporation had even been been formed, and has reached stunning success with his new company Arista Networks. Interviewed by Christoph Keese, Bechtolsheim explains the effects of Artificial Intelligence on business, analyses why Europe is lagging behind China and the US in software and other technologies, and shares insights into his decision not to return to his home country Germany.
